From right-sizing your electric bus fleet to charging infrastructure and smart energy management

Electric Buses - Zero Emissions

Councils and bus operators are leading the way with the take up of electric vehicles to decarbonise and meet net zero targets. Electric buses improve local air quality and reduce noise pollution, providing a positive impact on local communities.

Positive Business Case

With or without Government subsidy, the economics stack up for electric buses. The total cost of ownership (TCO) is reduced with lower tax, fuel, maintenance and insurance costs. The initial capex investment is offset with the longer lifespan of the assets.

Other Considerations

Opportunity Charging

Pantographs charge electric buses while in service by connecting to overhead charging stations. Charging away from the depot reduces downtime and extends vehicle range.

Less Maintenance

With fewer service and maintenance issues, electric buses are out of service for less time. Operators can optimise fleets with fewer vehicles to meet service demand.

Driver and Passenger Comfort

Electric buses offer a smoother and quieter ride. The driver experience is also improved by a lower centre of gravity, which provides better handling and responsiveness.
