About Stagecoach Yorkshire
Stagecoach Yorkshire is at the forefront of the UK’s public transport shift towards cleaner, more sustainable operations through an ambitious electrification strategy.
Committed to creating a cleaner, more sustainable transport network, 57 electric buses will replace over two-thirds of the diesel fleet in Chesterfield and North Eastern Derbyshire in Spring 2025.
The Chesterfield depot has been modernised into a state-of-the-art charging and energy hub, marking the largest of four planned electrification projects.
The project is funded by Stagecoach itself, alongside Derbyshire County Council, and the UK Government’s ZEBRA 2 scheme.
