Electrifying Maritime’s Heavy Logistics with High Power Charging
Delivering high-power truck charging, from design to deployment
VEV delivered an end-to-end electrification solution across Maritime’s Wakefield, Tilbury and Doncaster logistics hubs. This included site design, power infrastructure, charger installation and software integration, enabling reliable high-power charging for heavy-duty operations.
Specially designed to scale alongside Maritime’s electric HGV rollout.
From securing power and designing for high-duty-cycles to integrating intelligent charging software, VEV ensured the infrastructure is ready to grow with Maritime’s fleet. Each site was designed with scalability in mind, supporting future expansion as zero-emission HGV operations increase.
18 High-power chargers were deployed at Maritime’s Wakefield, Tilbury and Doncaster sites. This starts the first phase of a nationwide electrification programme
Flexible charging capacity from 100 kW to 1 MW, supporting intensive HGV duty cycles. Configured to charge up to 36 electric vehicles simultaneously, ensuring reliable operations across varying routes and dwell times.
Up to 5 MW of installed capacity, designed for future growth. Resilient power infrastructure supports full-load logistics today, with built-in headroom for fleet expansion and zero-emission HGV deployment.
